Listen to Jamie Reidy on The Business Side of Sports.

The BSS caught up with Jamie Reidy on day 90 of his Sports Year. It has been a while, but Jamie definitely has been experiencing a lot the past few months as he travels the country attending Jamie Reidyat least one sporting event a day. From college football tailgating, to taking a Wounded Warrior and his grandfather to their first Packers’ game at Lambeau Field, to a “spiritual” encounters in the most not-obvious of places, Jim is living the life you have always wanted.

On every college football bucket list tailgating at the Grove at Ole Miss and watch a bona fide SEC game (S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E-C!). Jim talks about experiencing true Southern hospitality mixed with the food, drinking, and overall aesthetics *wink* of college football tailgating. All that was just gravy on the biscuits to watching Johnny “Football” Manziel lead Texas A&M against Ole Miss.

Jamie continues to bring U.S. vets, our country’s Wounded Warriors along for the ride. He tells the story of veteran Justin and his grandfather and their first time watching the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Justin became a die-hard Packer thanks to his grandfather who would listen to Packer games on the radio before t.v! Due to an unforeseen ticket snafu Jim, who bought their game tickets, had to make a decision…

One of the staples of Jamie’s Sports Year is rec leagues, and it has been a great well of stories! From running into a Buddhist at a Louisville bowling league to a softball team of Gideons (yes, those Gideons) Jim is coming into a spiritual awaking. Or not. At the very least he’s experiencing the stuff.

These are just a few of the stories covered on this episode. Listen in to hear them all!
