nba-playoffsJoel and Josue of Causeway Street broke down the second round matchups of the 2014 NBA Playoffs. They made their predictions on the Western Conference’s San Antonio Spurs vs Portland Trail blazers series. Joel and Josue both believe San Antonio should have no problem winning their series against Portland due to the Spurs’ experience.

The boys of Causeway Street also discussed the Western Conference’s matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers. Josue thinks it will be a seven-game series and Oklahoma City will beat Los Angeles in the final game.

In the Eastern Conference, Indiana’s Roy Hibbert finally impressed us all with a quality outing. Hibbert scored 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Game 2 against the Washington Wizards to tie up the series 1-1. Josue and Joel believe Washington can still knock off Indiana because of Washington’s size and experienced role players but the Indiana Pacers can make things interesting now that Hibbert is back to playing like an all-star.

Causeway Street’s third host, Dutra, called in and talked about the Western Conference second round and the NBA Draft with Josue and Joel. Dutra discussed who he thinks the Celtics should draft in June and also talked about the possibility of the Celtics trading its lottery pick if it isn’t as high as they want it to be.

Joel and Josue ended the show predicting the Brooklyn Nets will win a game in Miami. However Josue believes if Brooklyn doesn’t win a game in Miami that the series isn’t over.
